Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ) has just called the presidential race for Joe Biden after Biden took the lead in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania, declaring Joe Biden the victory of the 2020 Presidential Election and the 46th President of the United States. With DDHQ calling Pennsylvania and the entire race for Joe Biden, an Associated Press (AP) race call is imminent.
Since DDHQ has not yet called Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, North Carolina, or Alaska yet, the vote tally stands at 273 electoral votes for Joe Biden and 214 for Donald Trump, giving Joe Biden the required 270 votes to win the race.
Joe Biden has now captured a majority of the popular vote, over 73 million, and has won the most popular votes of a candidate ever in United States history. Trump currently sits at almost 70 million votes.
With DDHQ calling the race, Newshacker Blog is also calling Pennsylvania, and with it the presidential race, for Joe Biden. Joe Biden currently has 284 electoral votes, with Nevada, Georgia, and North Carolina still too close to call. Alaska is too early to call.
Kamala Harris becomes the 49th Vice President of the United States, and is the first female, first Black, first African American, and first Asian American to become the Vice President, and will also become the highest-ranking woman in the U.S. government in U.S. history.
More to come soon.
